Conference Objectives

The conference on "Engineering Resilience: Confronting Risk Beyond Adaptation" aims to discuss climate change adaptation, and disaster risk and resilience in the Philippine setting, in the sectors of food and agriculture, public health, energy, infrastructure, and coastal and marine resource management. It intends to bring together national leaders, local governments, financial institutions, international experts, and non-governmental organizations in the hope of building a coherent and integrated S&T strategy for resilience.

The conference is being organized by the Congressional Commission on Science, Technology and Engineering (COMSTE) with the cooperation of the Manila Observatory.
